As the Executive Director of the Office of Distance Education and Online Learning (ODEOL) at Tuskegee University, Dr. Ntam provides strategic leadership for the university's online and distance education initiatives. His role encompasses developing and implementing comprehensive strategies to enhance the quality, accessibility, and effectiveness of digital learning environments.
Dr. Ntam's leadership approach is characterized by a commitment to innovation, quality assurance, and faculty development. He has successfully guided the university through significant transitions in educational technology, including the migration from Blackboard to Canvas Learning Management System, while ensuring continuity of academic excellence and student support.
Prior to his current role, Dr. Ntam served as Faculty Coordinator for ODEOL (2015-2022) and Quality Matters Coordinator (2019-2022), where he established a strong foundation for online education excellence at Tuskegee University. His extensive experience in both faculty development and quality assurance has been instrumental in shaping the university's approach to digital learning.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, Dr. Ntam played a pivotal role in crafting the university's contingency response for online instruction, facilitating a series of virtual workshops to accelerate the transition from face-to-face to emergency remote instruction during the campus lockdown. His leadership during this challenging period ensured educational continuity and maintained academic standards despite unprecedented disruptions.

Quality Matters (QM) is a nationally recognized, faculty-centered, peer review process designed to certify the quality of online courses and online components. Dr. Ntam has been instrumental in integrating QM standards into Tuskegee University's online course development and review processes.
As QM Coordinator from 2019 to 2022, Dr. Ntam established a systematic approach to address the quality of existing online courses and facilitated the development of new online courses. He encouraged faculty to participate in Quality Matters course certifications and broadened accessibility and instructional design training to target faculty development needs.
Dr. Ntam organized ODEOL faculty mentors into review panels for the internal review of new online courses, ensuring that all courses met rigorous quality standards before being offered to students. This peer review process not only improved course quality but also fostered a collaborative community of practice among online instructors.
Through his leadership in quality assurance, Dr. Ntam has significantly enhanced the consistency, accessibility, and effectiveness of online courses at Tuskegee University, resulting in improved student learning outcomes and satisfaction.
